Special Situation: Company is set to announce Q4 results on 1/25/17 (amc). Again, as last quarter, expecting the stock price to be punished due to less than desired expectations. My focus and attention on the quarter results and listening to the conference call will be on effects of the ongoing revamping of eBay search, in bringing in more sales from the outside internet world compared to to what has largely been thus far from internal organic search. Competition from existing channels and well as an increase of new (and successful) players in the market, is getting stronger every quarter that eBay tinkers with it’s search. The demand is there. Will eBay concede or continue to struggle with keeping itself a closed environment? Nothing of something is nothing.
Action taken: Buy 1/27/17 $31 puts. Price: $1.47
